Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) defeated DN SOOPers (DNS) 2-0 during Week 6 of LCK 2026 on May 6. The series clearly showed the gap between the two teams in macro play, objective control, and teamfight execution.
From the first game, HLE looked dominant. Zeus, Kanavi, and Zeka all performed at a high level. Meanwhile, DNS struggled to coordinate during mid-game fights. Because of this result, HLE remain close to the top of the LCK 2026 standings.

Match Overview
- Tournament: LCK 2026
- Format: Best of 3 (Bo3)
- Result: HLE 2 – 0 DNS
- Match Date: May 6, 2026
Coming into the series, HLE were heavily favored because of their star-studded roster featuring Zeus, Kanavi, Zeka, and Gumayusi. On the other hand, DNS were still searching for consistency after several underwhelming performances earlier in the season.
The Bo3 ended rather quickly, as HLE controlled the pace of the series from start to finish. In particular, they managed lane pressure extremely well while also securing important objectives such as Dragons and Baron Nashor. Although DNS showed some resistance at certain moments, they simply could not maintain momentum against HLE’s disciplined gameplay.
Detailed Match Breakdown
Game 1: Zeus Takes Over With Gnar
DNS started Game 1 aggressively. Their new AD carry performed well during the laning phase against HLE’s experienced bot lane.
However, HLE secured First Blood after Kanavi ganked the top lane and killed Dudu’s Renekton.
Soon after, DNS tried to take the first Dragon. HLE immediately contested the objective. A chaotic fight broke out near the pit. HLE stole the Dragon, but DNS traded back with a kill onto Kanavi thanks to Closer and Pyosik.
The biggest moment came during a later Dragon fight. Zeus landed a huge four-man Gnar ultimate. As a result, Zeka cleaned up the fight and earned a Quadrakill.
After that fight, HLE took full control of the map. They extended their gold lead through better rotations and objective setups. Eventually, HLE ended the game in only 26 minutes with a massive advantage in gold and items.

Game 2: Gumayusi Shows His Superstar Carry Potential
Game 2 was much closer. DNS played more confidently and even gained leads in kills and objectives at several points.
They focused heavily on top-side vision control. In addition, Dudu’s K’Sante secured a solo kill against Zeus. That play gave DNS momentum and raised hopes for a comeback.
Later, DNS picked off several HLE members before moving to Baron Nashor. Even so, Gumayusi’s Lucian helped HLE stabilize the game.
DNS managed to secure a second Baron later in the match. However, they lost four members immediately after. HLE launched a strong counterattack during the post-Baron fight.
At the same time, Zeus’ Jayce and Gumayusi dealt huge damage from the backline. DNS could not survive the pressure and quickly collapsed.
In the end, HLE pushed into the base and destroyed the Nexus to complete the 2-0 sweep.

Draft and Ban Pick Analysis
In Game 1, HLE drafted a composition built around strong engage tools and fast snowball potential. Zeus received a lane-dominant champion, while Kanavi focused on early jungle control.
Meanwhile, DNS drafted a mid-game teamfight composition with several tools to protect their AD carry. However, their lineup lacked playmaking options once they fell behind.
Another important detail was HLE’s ban strategy. They targeted comfort champions in DNS’s bot lane. Because of this, DNS struggled to play around the lower side of the map.
In Game 2, DNS switched to a composition focused on picks and split pushing. However, HLE reacted well and consistently won counter-engages.
Zeka also received one of his comfort champions. That allowed him to dominate the mid lane and pressure the map.
At the same time, Zeus created another large lead in the top lane. DNS could not execute their split-push strategy effectively.
Overall, HLE had the better draft in both games. Their compositions were easier to play and stronger in teamfights.

Biggest Highlights of the Series
Even though Gumayusi did not receive many early-game resources, he still found ways to shine during crucial teamfights. In particular, his positioning on Lucian was exceptional throughout the second game.
At the same time, Zeka remained the core piece of HLE’s overall strategy. He constantly rotated at the perfect moments to support Kanavi and create advantages across the map. Moreover, his mechanics and map movements left DNS with almost no room to operate effectively.
On the other hand, DNS did show flashes of potential, especially during the early stages of Game 2. However, they continued to struggle heavily with teamfight coordination and objective control.
Additionally, DNS repeatedly lost control around major objectives such as Dragon and Baron. Because of that, HLE consistently dictated the tempo of the series from beginning to end.
Conclusion
This victory over DNS allows HLE to remain firmly in contention near the top of the LCK 2026 standings. More importantly, the team now appears much more coordinated compared to their somewhat inconsistent performances earlier in the season.
With Zeus, Zeka, and Kanavi all performing at a high level, HLE are quickly becoming one of the strongest championship contenders in LCK 2026. Meanwhile, DNS will need major improvements in both macro play and teamfight execution if they hope to compete for a playoff spot later this season.
