Switzerland Too Strong for Algeria at World Cup

Switzerland secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Algeria in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32. Breel Embolo opened the scoring early in the match. Then, Dan Ndoye doubled the lead just after halftime. As a result, the Swiss side advanced to the Round of 16.

Algeria cannot find a response

After falling behind by two goals, Algeria pushed more players forward.

Gregor Kobel had very little work to do. In front of him, Akanji and Elvedi won important duels throughout the match.
