Gen.G Return to Dominant Form Against KT Rolster
Gen.G entered the series against KT Rolster after a week of mixed performances. Therefore, many fans were eager to see how the team would respond. The answer came quickly.
From the beginning of Game 1, Gen.G showed superior map control. Canyon and Chovy constantly created pressure around the middle of the map. At the same time, Ruler and Duro controlled the bot lane.
KT Rolster tried to find opportunities to fight back. However, Gen.G always seemed to have an answer whenever KT attempted to make an aggressive move.
Moreover, Gen.G’s coordination allowed them to increase their lead step by step. They secured major objectives, controlled key areas, and denied KT valuable resources.
As a result, KT were repeatedly forced into defensive positions.
Eventually, Gen.G closed out the series with a convincing 2-0 victory. More importantly, their performance showed that the LCK powerhouse had rediscovered its best form.
Game 1: Ruler’s Kog’Maw Leaves KT Rolster Helpless
Gen.G entered the opening game with a composition built around protecting their ADC.
Gen.G: Shen (Kiin), Nocturne (Canyon), Ryze (Chovy), Kog’Maw (Ruler), Lulu (Duro).
KT Rolster: Rumble (Perfect), Vi (Cuzz), Yone (Bdd), Lucian (FenRir), Milio (Effort).
Gen.G’s plan was clear from the draft. They wanted Ruler to become their main damage source during teamfights.
Furthermore, Shen, Nocturne, and Ryze gave Gen.G excellent global pressure. Lulu, meanwhile, provided additional protection for Kog’Maw.
Therefore, Gen.G could quickly turn small fights into situations where they had a numbers advantage.
The strategy soon started to work.

Gen.G Take Control Through the Bot Lane
During the laning phase, Ruler and Duro immediately put pressure on FenRir and Effort. KT attempted to respond with early aggression. However, several unsuccessful plays gave Gen.G opportunities to punish them.
As a result, Gen.G secured First Blood and started taking control of the bottom side of the map. From there, FenRir’s Lucian struggled to keep up. The growing gap in minions and experience made it increasingly difficult for KT’s ADC to have an impact.
Meanwhile, Ruler had plenty of time to farm and complete his key items. Canyon also created constant pressure with Nocturne. Whenever KT tried to push forward, they had to respect the threat of his ultimate.
In addition, Kiin’s Shen made every small fight even more dangerous for KT. His ability to join teammates from across the map gave Gen.G another major advantage.
Chovy also played an important role with Ryze. He controlled the mid lane and could quickly move to support his teammates.
Consequently, KT had fewer and fewer opportunities to create a comeback.

Gen.G End Game 1 With an Incredible 11-0 Kill Score
Once Gen.G gained the advantage, they refused to let KT back into the game.
They controlled important objectives and repeatedly forced KT Rolster deeper into their own territory.
Furthermore, FenRir and Bdd had very little space to deal damage. Ruler, on the other hand, could attack freely from the backline.
KT simply could not find a breakthrough.
Eventually, Gen.G ended the game after around 26 minutes with an incredible 11-0 kill score.
It was an almost flawless performance.
Moreover, the dominant victory gave Gen.G a huge psychological advantage heading into Game 2.

Game 2: Kiin and Canyon Completely Take Over
While Game 1 highlighted Ruler’s strength, Game 2 showed how dangerous Gen.G could be through the top side of the map.
Both teams changed several picks in the draft.
Gen.G: Olaf (Kiin), Lee Sin (Canyon), Galio (Chovy), Ezreal (Ruler), Leona (Duro).
KT Rolster: Ambessa (Perfect), Skarner (Cuzz), Orianna (Bdd), Kai’Sa (FenRir), Nautilus (Effort).
This time, Gen.G had more tools to start fights.
Lee Sin and Leona could quickly engage, while Galio offered excellent follow-up support. At the same time, Ezreal allowed Ruler to deal damage from a safer position.
Therefore, KT had to be extremely careful whenever they moved into contested areas.
Unfortunately for them, Gen.G quickly took control again.

Kiin Dominates Perfect in the Top Lane
One of the biggest differences in Game 2 came from the top lane. Kiin selected Olaf against Perfect’s Ambessa. However, the Gen.G top laner quickly gained control of the matchup. His pressure made it difficult for Perfect to collect resources. More importantly, Kiin’s advantage gave Canyon additional freedom to move around the map.
Canyon took full advantage. With Lee Sin, the Gen.G jungler repeatedly appeared at crucial moments. His ganks and rotations helped Gen.G create advantages across several lanes.
Meanwhile, Cuzz struggled to find the same level of influence. Because KT’s lanes had limited control, Skarner had fewer opportunities to make proactive plays.
As a result, Gen.G continued to increase their lead.
Gen.G Build a Massive 10,000-Gold Lead
Gen.G continued to accelerate as the game progressed. Chovy’s Galio was always ready to join a fight. At the same time, Kiin became a major threat on the frontline.
Therefore, Ruler had plenty of space to operate. With Ezreal, he repeatedly pressured KT from a safe distance. Consequently, FenRir and his teammates struggled whenever they tried to contest an objective.
After only around 22 minutes, Gen.G had already built a lead of more than 10,000 gold. At that point, a KT comeback looked almost impossible.
Gen.G then secured Baron and immediately increased the pressure. KT no longer had enough resources to defend their base.
Eventually, Gen.G marched into the enemy base, destroyed the Nexus, and completed a dominant 2-0 victory.

Ruler Earns POM After an Outstanding Series
Ruler once again showed why he remains one of the most dangerous ADCs in the LCK.
In Game 1, his Kog’Maw became Gen.G’s main damage source. With Lulu and several defensive tools around him, KT had almost no way to reach him.
Then, in Game 2, Ruler switched to Ezreal. Nevertheless, the result remained the same. His positioning allowed him to constantly deal damage while avoiding unnecessary risks. Moreover, his teammates created enough space for him to attack freely.
Most impressively, Ruler did not die throughout the entire series. As a result, he finished the match with an excellent KDA and earned the Player of the Match (POM) award.
However, Gen.G’s success was not only about Ruler. Duro did an excellent job protecting his ADC. Meanwhile, Chovy controlled the mid lane and connected Gen.G’s plays across the map. Canyon consistently created pressure, while Kiin showed once again that he could perform with different styles and champions.

Kiin and Canyon Reach Major LCK Milestones
The victory over KT Rolster was also a special occasion for Kiin and Canyon.
With this result, Kiin reached 500 career wins in the LCK. It is another impressive achievement for a top laner who has competed at the highest level of Korean League of Legends for many years.
Meanwhile, Canyon reached 700 games played in the LCK. The Gen.G jungler celebrated the milestone with strong performances on both Nocturne and Lee Sin.
Therefore, the 2-0 victory became more than just another series win for Gen.G. It also marked another important chapter in the careers of two of their biggest stars.
KT Rolster Expose Several Major Problems
On the other hand, this was a series KT Rolster will want to forget quickly. They struggled from the laning phase onward. Furthermore, once Gen.G gained control of the map, KT had very little room to execute their own strategy.
Cuzz struggled to create enough pressure in the jungle. Similarly, Bdd had limited opportunities to move around the map because Gen.G controlled the mid lane effectively.
The bot lane was another major concern. FenRir faced huge pressure against Ruler. Whether playing Lucian or Kai’Sa, the KT ADC never had enough space to become the team’s main damage threat.
Effort also struggled to find successful engages that could change the momentum.
Therefore, if KT want to remain competitive in the Legend Group, they will need to improve both their laning phase and objective control.
Gen.G Send a Powerful Warning to the Rest of LCK 2026
Gen.G’s 2-0 victory over KT Rolster was important. However, the way they secured the win was even more impressive. They dominated from the laning phase to the final teamfight. Moreover, their objective control was excellent, while major mistakes were kept to a minimum.
Most importantly, Gen.G did not rely on only one player. Ruler can become the team’s primary damage dealer. Kiin can create advantages in the top lane. Meanwhile, Canyon and Chovy remain an extremely dangerous jungle-mid duo.
In addition, Duro continues to provide reliable support and protection for his teammates. After a period of inconsistent performances, this victory sent a clear message to the rest of the competition.
Gen.G remain one of the strongest contenders for the LCK 2026 title.
If they can maintain the same level of coordination and map control shown against KT Rolster, Gen.G will undoubtedly remain one of the toughest teams to beat in the Legend Group.
