Match Overview
- Tournament: LCK 2026
- Format: Best of 3 (Bo3)
- Result: T1 2-0 DNS
- Match Date: May 8, 2026
Coming into the series, T1 were the overwhelming favorites. As expected, the gap in class became evident almost immediately. From the early game onward, T1 dictated the pace, consistently built lane advantages, and denied DNS any real opportunity to recover.
Meanwhile, DNS maintained an aggressive mindset and looked willing to contest objectives. However, repeated positioning errors and poor teamfight execution prevented them from turning those efforts into meaningful results.
Detailed Match Recap
Game 1: T1 Crush DNS’s Early Momentum
The opening minutes offered a brief moment of hope for DNS. They invaded T1’s jungle and secured First Blood for Life’s Camille.
Nevertheless, that was the only bright spot for DNS.
Soon afterward, T1 stabilized the map and began accelerating the tempo. Oner coordinated beautifully with T1’s bottom lane, allowing the defending champions to reclaim control.
The turning point came during the first Rift Herald fight. T1 completely dismantled DNS, taking four kills in a one-sided skirmish. At the center of the play was Faker’s Ahri, whose Charm repeatedly caught Life and left Camille helpless.
By the 21-minute mark, T1 secured Baron Nashor as soon as it spawned. At that point, their gold lead had already surpassed 7,000.
With Baron buff in hand, T1 marched down mid lane and methodically dismantled DNS’s defenses. Just four minutes later, they destroyed the Nexus and closed out Game 1 in dominant fashion.

Game 2: Keria’s Legendary “Gromp” Play Steals the Show
In the second game, T1 once again established control from the very beginning. Their laning was cleaner, their rotations were sharper, and their objective setups were nearly flawless.
As a result, T1 quickly built a 4,000-gold lead.
Keria, piloting Neeko, constantly harassed DNS’s bottom lane while threatening game-changing engages. His pressure forced DNS into increasingly awkward positions.
At 18 minutes, T1 found the decisive teamfight near mid lane. Keria landed a three-man Pop Blossom, which was immediately followed by Faker’s Orianna Shockwave. Together, the combo erased the entire DNS lineup.
However, the most memorable moment came shortly afterward.
Keria transformed into a Gromp and boldly stood in front of DNS. Remarkably, several DNS players were momentarily baited by the disguise, creating confusion and opening another perfect angle for T1 to engage.
Consequently, T1 won yet another clean fight.
By the 24-minute mark, they had already pushed into the enemy base and secured the final kill to complete a commanding 2-0 sweep.

Draft Analysis
In the first game, T1 drafted a team composition focused on proactive engagement and coordinated teamfighting. Faker’s control mage gave him strong playmaking potential and allowed him to influence every major skirmish.
On the other hand, DNS opted for a scaling composition with poke tools. However, they lacked the frontline necessary to withstand T1’s explosive engage.
In Game 2, T1 maintained their disciplined control-oriented style. The bottom lane dominated early, while Oner remained the key catalyst in the jungle.
DNS adjusted with a higher-damage composition. Even so, their coordination issues persisted, and they repeatedly lost critical objective fights.

Key Highlights of the Series
Although Faker was not always the top scorer, his impact was undeniable. He controlled the tempo, dictated teamfights, and consistently created opportunities for his teammates.
T1’s jungler was instrumental throughout both games. His smart pathing, timely ganks, and objective control gave T1 a stable foundation from start to finish.
The POM award deservedly went to Keria. Not only did he provide clutch utility in Game 1, but he also created one of the most entertaining moments of the season with his famous Gromp disguise in Game 2.
To their credit, DNS had several encouraging moments. Nevertheless, their inability to execute in key teamfights repeatedly erased any small advantages they managed to gain.
Final Thoughts
This victory helps T1 stay strong in the LCK 2026 standings. It also confirms their stable form during the middle of the season.
Moreover, the team looks well-coordinated. All five players are performing at a high level.
Looking forward, T1 will face stronger opponents like Gen.G and Hanwha Life Esports. These matches will be much more challenging.
However, based on current form, T1 fans have strong reasons to be confident. If they continue like this, another LCK title run is very possible.
