Teamfight Tactics Officially Joins SEA Nations Cup 2026
SEA Esports Nations Cup 2026 is the first national-team esports event organized by the Southeast Asian Esports Federation. Meanwhile, Vietnam will host the tournament for the first time. The event is also part of Vietnam GameVerse 2026.
The tournament will take place at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center from May 8 to May 9, 2026. In addition, the event is supported by the Vietnam Recreational and Electronic Sports Association and VNGGames.
Among all the esports titles at SNC 2026, Teamfight Tactics will represent the strategy genre. More importantly, TFT will feature both Men’s Individual and Women’s Individual events.
TFT Is the Only Esports Title With a Women’s Division
The women’s category is the biggest highlight for TFT at SNC 2026. In fact, no other esports title at the event will have a separate women’s competition. Therefore, many people believe this shows the strong growth of the female TFT community in Southeast Asia.
A total of 16 players from 10 countries will compete in the TFT events. At the same time, the women’s division will include players from Vietnam, Singapore, Myanmar, Brunei, and Laos.
Vietnam will send two female players to the tournament. They are Lê Hoàng Phương Anh and Đào Mai Anh. Both players earned their spots through a tough qualification event.
The women’s qualifier in Vietnam also received more than 100 registrations. Because of the high interest, the organizers increased the number of participants from 32 to 64 players. As a result, the event showed how fast the female TFT community is growing.
Teamfight Tactics Schedule at SNC 2026
The Teamfight Tactics matches will take place on May 9.
- 3:00 PM: Women’s Individual Event – 3 matches
- 5:00 PM: Men’s Individual Event – 3 matches
- 8:00 PM: SNC 2026 Award Ceremony
All matches will be played at SECC in Ho Chi Minh City.
TFT Set 17 Will Be Used at the Event
Players at SNC 2026 will compete on mobile devices. However, TFT still supports cross-play between PC and mobile. Because of this, more players can enjoy the game while the competition remains fair and competitive.
In addition, the tournament will use TFT Set 17, called “The Gods of the Cosmos.” The new set adds fresh traits, champions, and mechanics. Therefore, fans can expect exciting matches and new strategies.
TFT Continues to Grow Across Southeast Asia
Over the past few years, Teamfight Tactics has become one of the most popular strategy esports games in Southeast Asia. According to the publisher, the game now has more than two million daily players. Furthermore, its esports system continues to grow every season.
