T Rolster defeated Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) 2-1 in LCK 2026 Split 3 on August 2. The series featured exciting drafts, constant fights, and several clutch moments. In the end, KT kept its composure and secured an important victory.
BDD controlled the opening game. Cuzz dominated the jungle throughout the series. Meanwhile, rookie ADC FenRir stepped up in the deciding game. His strong performance helped KT close out the match.

KT and HLE Deliver an Exciting Series
Both teams entered the match in good form.
KT looked stronger after promoting FenRir to the starting lineup. HLE also arrived with confidence. In addition, the team prepared several creative champion picks.
Every game felt different. Both teams played aggressively from the start. As a result, fans enjoyed one of the best series of the week.
Game 1: KT Takes Complete Control
HLE surprised fans in champion select. Zeka picked Locke in the mid lane. Gumayusi played Lucian, while Delight selected Milio.

However, KT stayed in control. They secured dragons, towers, and every major objective. The game ended after 32 minutes.
KT destroyed the Nexus and finished with a dominant 36-12 kill score.

Game 2: HLE Quickly Responds
HLE changed its draft for the second game. Zeus selected Anivia. Zeka picked Ryze. Meanwhile, Kanavi locked in Nocturne.
The new strategy worked well. Only three minutes into the game, HLE won an early fight near the bottom river. They secured two kills and took control of the pace.
Zeus became the key player. His Anivia controlled side lanes throughout the game. In addition, his walls separated KT during several important fights.
KT still created chances. FenRir solo killed Gumayusi in the mid game. The rookie continued to impress with his confidence.
However, HLE remained ahead. The team controlled every dragon. They also secured Baron pressure. Later, Gumayusi found a huge Triple Kill during a Baron fight.
That play ended KT’s comeback hopes. HLE pushed into the base and finished the game after only 28 minutes.

Game 3: FenRir Shines in the Decider
The final game featured another creative draft. KT selected Gnar, Naafiri, Annie, Yunara, and Lulu.
HLE answered with another surprise. Zeus played Varus in the top lane. Kanavi picked Shyvana. Zeka chose Viktor. Gumayusi locked in Ashe, while Delight played Seraphine.
The early game stayed close. Neither team built a large advantage. Instead, both sides traded kills and objectives.
The first turning point came at the third dragon. FenRir positioned perfectly during the fight. Lulu kept him alive throughout the engagement. Therefore, KT won the fight and regained control. HLE continued to fight.
However, the biggest moment came at Baron Nashor. Both teams committed to the objective. HLE looked ready to secure Baron.
Instead, Cuzz stole it away from Kanavi with a perfect Smite. That play changed the game.
KT immediately pushed every lane. They also secured the Infernal Dragon Soul. BDD found strong engages with Annie. Perfect controlled the frontline with Gnar. Meanwhile, FenRir dealt constant damage from safety.
HLE could not stop the final push. KT destroyed the Nexus after 32 minutes and won the series 2-1.

Cuzz Earns Player of the Match
Cuzz received the Player of the Match award. His Skarner controlled Game 1 from start to finish. Later, his Naafiri carried the early game in Game 3.
Most importantly, his Baron steal decided the series.
It became the biggest highlight of the match.

FenRir Continues to Improve
FenRir delivered another impressive performance. He stayed calm during every important fight. He also dealt consistent damage throughout the series.
Game 3 showed his growth. His Yunara became KT’s main carry. Furthermore, his positioning remained excellent during every late-game fight.
If he keeps improving, FenRir could become one of the LCK’s top young ADCs.
HLE Still Looks Dangerous
HLE lost the series, but the team still showed its quality. The coaching staff prepared several creative drafts. Locke, Anivia top, and Varus top all surprised fans.
However, KT played better around major objectives. The team also executed teamfights more cleanly. Therefore, KT deserved the victory.
Even so, Zeus, Kanavi, Zeka, Gumayusi, and Delight remain serious championship contenders.
