T1 are now the leaders of the LCK 2026 Legend Group. The team reached first place after Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) lost two straight matches.
The standings remain very close. Both teams have a 15-5 match record. However, T1 own the better game differential. That gives Faker and his teammates the No. 1 spot.
The race for the LCK title is now more exciting than ever.

A Chaotic Week Changes the LCK Standings
The opening week of LCK 2026 Rounds 3-4 delivered several surprising results. Teams that entered as underdogs suddenly found top form, making the title race even more unpredictable.
KT Rolster continued their impressive resurgence by defeating T1 2-0. Meanwhile, Dplus KIA also maintained excellent momentum with another statement victory over Hanwha Life Esports.
Although T1 began the week with a disappointing loss, they quickly bounced back in convincing fashion. Faker and company defeated Gen.G 2-0, preventing further damage to their standings while maintaining a strong overall record of 15-5.
Because of that crucial victory, T1 remained within striking distance of first place while waiting for results elsewhere.
HLE’s Collapse Opens the Door
While T1 recovered quickly, Hanwha Life Esports experienced one of their toughest weeks of the season.
HLE suffered consecutive defeats against Dplus KIA and KT Rolster, allowing their comfortable lead to disappear almost overnight. The losses dropped HLE to a 15-5 record, identical to T1.
However, LCK standings use game differential as the primary tiebreaker. Since T1 own the better game score, they officially move ahead of HLE despite having the same match record.
Therefore, T1 did not claim first place by defeating HLE directly. Instead, they capitalized on their biggest rival’s unexpected stumble.

Faker and T1 Still Have Plenty to Prove
Despite leading the standings, questions remain about T1’s consistency.
Their loss to KT highlighted several weaknesses that opponents may continue to target. At the same time, the dominant victory over Gen.G reminded fans why T1 remain one of the strongest teams in Korea when everything clicks together.
The team has shown flashes of championship-level League of Legends throughout the season. However, maintaining that level consistently has been their biggest challenge.
Consequently, the next round of matches will reveal whether T1 have truly returned to peak form or simply benefited from favorable results elsewhere.

DK and KT Continue Their Rise
Another major storyline is the rapid improvement of Dplus KIA and KT Rolster.
DK have looked increasingly dangerous thanks to outstanding performances from ShowMaker and Smash. Meanwhile, KT have earned victories over several top contenders, proving they are capable of challenging any team in the league.
As a result, the Legend Group has become far more competitive than earlier in the season.
Instead of a two-team battle between T1 and HLE, several organizations now have realistic opportunities to shake up the standings before the playoffs.
Massive Matches Await T1
The schedule offers no easy path for the new league leaders.
T1 are set to face Dplus KIA and Hanwha Life Esports in consecutive series. Those matches could completely reshape the standings once again.
If T1 defeat both opponents, they will strengthen their grip on first place while taking a major step toward securing favorable playoff seeding and a stronger position in the race for the 2026 League of Legends World Championship.
On the other hand, another poor week could quickly send Faker’s squad back down the table. With so little separating the top teams, every individual series has become increasingly valuable.

The LCK Title Race Is Wide Open
The LCK 2026 Legend Group has become one of the most competitive seasons in recent years. T1 currently sit in first place. However, the margin is very small. HLE, KT Rolster, and Dplus KIA all remain serious title contenders.
Every match now matters. For now, T1 have taken advantage of HLE’s mistakes. The bigger challenge, however, starts next week. Their matches against DK and HLE will show whether they truly deserve the top spot.
