Vietnam Overwhelms Laos in the Opening Match

Right from the start of the tournament, Vietnam demonstrated excellent preparation and a clear advantage in overall skill. Against Laos, the Vietnamese squad quickly took full control of the game.

From the laning phase onward, Vietnam built significant leads in gold, farm, and objectives. Furthermore, the team’s coordination was on full display throughout the match. Constant rotations and well-timed support plays allowed Vietnam to dominate every area of the map.

In addition, Vietnam secured nearly every major objective, including Dragons and Rift Heralds. As a result, Laos had very few opportunities to fight back. Whenever the opposing side made a mistake, Vietnam immediately capitalized on it.

Consequently, the match ended after only 18 minutes. Not only was it one of the fastest victories of the qualification stage, but it also sent a strong message to the rest of the competition about Vietnam’s ambitions.

Vietnam Starts Strong Against Laos

Vietnam entered the tournament with confidence. From the opening minutes against Laos, the team looked in complete control.

The players gained an early lead in gold and objectives. In addition, they moved around the map very efficiently. Every lane received support at the right time.

Meanwhile, Laos struggled to keep up. The team could not contest major objectives or win important fights.

Vietnam also controlled Dragons and Rift Heralds with ease. Because of that, the gap between the two teams continued to grow.

As a result, Vietnam ended the game in only 18 minutes. It was one of the fastest wins of the qualifier stage.

Mongolia Could Not Stop Vietnam

Next, Vietnam faced Mongolia. On paper, Mongolia was expected to provide a tougher challenge. However, the match quickly became another one-sided contest.

Vietnam once again focused on strong map control. The team secured vision and objectives while avoiding unnecessary risks.

At the same time, Mongolia struggled to create pressure. Every attempt to make a play was answered by Vietnam’s organized teamwork.

Furthermore, Vietnam looked very strong in team fights. The players showed excellent coordination and decision-making.

As the match went on, the gold lead became larger and larger. Eventually, Vietnam closed out the game after 23 minutes.

Therefore, the team completed the group stage with a perfect 2-0 record.

Vietnam Finishes First in Group D

The two victories were enough to secure first place in Group D. More importantly, they guaranteed Vietnam a place at ASIAD 2026.

This was the team’s first major goal in the qualifiers. Therefore, the players and coaching staff can be proud of their performance.

In addition, the result reflects months of preparation. The squad spent a lot of time practicing and developing strategies before the event.

As a result, Vietnam looked sharp and confident throughout both matches.

The Journey Is Not Over Yet

Although Vietnam has already qualified, the competition is not finished. The team will now move on to the Upper Group stage. Here, group winners will compete for better seeding positions. This is important because a higher seed can lead to a more favorable path later in the tournament.

On June 14, Vietnam will play three more matches. These games will help determine the final seeding order.

One of the most interesting opponents is Hong Kong. The team has shown good form and can be difficult to predict. Therefore, these upcoming matches will provide a tougher test for Vietnam.

Vietnam Continues to Grow

Vietnam has been one of the leading League of Legends regions in Southeast Asia for many years. The country has produced talented players and strong teams. This qualification adds another success to that history.

More importantly, the victories over Laos and Mongolia showed more than just individual skill. They also highlighted strong teamwork and smart decision-making.

These qualities are essential at major international events. Furthermore, young Vietnamese players continue to improve every year. Because of this, the future of Vietnamese League of Legends looks very bright.

Eyes on an ASIAD 2026 Medal

The 2026 Asian Games will feature many strong teams. Nations such as South Korea and Chinese Taipei are expected to be among the favorites.

However, Vietnam has already shown that it can compete at a high level. The team still has work to do. Nevertheless, its performance in the qualifiers has given fans plenty of reasons to be optimistic.

For now, Vietnam can celebrate an important achievement. The team has secured its place at ASIAD 2026. Next, the focus will shift toward an even bigger goal — winning a medal on one of Asia’s biggest esports stages.
