Plot Summary
At first, the film opens with a shock. A vet enters an animal cage in a quiet house in Hawaii. Suddenly, a chimp attacks him and kills him.
Thirty-six hours earlier, Lucy comes home after years away. She brings her friends with her. They go to her family’s house by the cliff. Lucy’s family owns a pet chimp named Ben. Ben is very smart. He uses a tablet to talk to people.
Then, Ben gets bitten by a mongoose. As a result, he gets rabies. After that, his mood changes fast. He turns wild and angry.
During a pool party, Ben escapes. Next, he starts to hunt the group. One by one, Lucy’s friends die. The rest hide in the pool. They must stay alert to live.
In the final part, Lucy’s father comes back. Together, the family fights Ben. In the end, Ben falls and dies. Soon after, the police and medics arrive.
Finally, the movie ends with a cold moment. Ben’s tablet says, “Lucy bad.” Because of that, the film leaves a dark feeling.
